Full-Time Program Leader
About the position:
Lead a variety of programs that focus on fitness, healthy living, creative expression and vocational experiences
Contribute to the development and assessment of participant goals
Collaborate with the Our Place team to plan group activities, community outings and special events
Build supportive and respectful relationships with participants with an emphasis on serving as a role model
Prior experience working with teens and adults with developmental disabilities is preferred.
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree and/or professional qualifications in a related field (Counseling, Special Education, Social work) is preferred.
Must have strong teamwork, communication and effective time management skills.
Must display creativity and flexibility in working with groups.
Must pass a background check.
Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Must be able to lift 25 pounds regularly.
Must be able to work outside in all types of weather.
Must be able to walk or stand for extended periods of time.
