Ellie McNeil

Program Leader

Ellie grew up in Moline, Illinois, where she discovered her passion in high school through volunteering for a theater program for people with disabilities. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Recreation, Tourism, and Nonprofit Leadership from the University of Northern Iowa. Throughout her career, Ellie has gained valuable experience in the special recreation field, working as a Direct Support Professional at various group homes, as well as in employment services and summer camps for adults with disabilities. Outside of work, Ellie enjoys spending time at the beach in the summer, exploring new coffee shops and spending time with her friends and family. She is dedicated to working with the disability community and is excited to join Our Place, a team that shares her passion of empowering and promoting independence for individuals with disabilities.
