Our Place is thrilled to present this inspiring event, which draws over 300 participants, numerous spectators, and dedicated volunteers each year. The Race for Our Place 5k Run & Walk unites the community to raise awareness and support for the vital work we do with teens and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Race Location/Parking:
Wilmette Community Playfield 701 Locust Ave.

The playfield is located between Wilmette Jr. High School and HighCrest Middle School. Parking will be available at both schools on opposite ends of the course and at Regina Dominican High School.
Course:
The race start for walkers and runners will be located near the playfield pavilion, at the west entrance of the playfield. The non-timed course follows a 1-mile loop around the playfield, 3 times.The course pavement is ground clay but can support wheelchairs, strollers, and scooters. Dogs are welcome on leashes only.
Check-In/Registration:
Registration and shirt pick-up will be available at the race. Check-in begins at 10:00 AM.
Post Race Celebration:
After crossing the finish line, join us for a post-race celebration! Refuel with a variety of healthy snacks and indulge in sweet treats from local favorites, Homer’s Ice Cream and Three Tarts Bakery.
Take a moment to relax in the pavilion, where seating is available, or explore our celebration area! Don’t miss the chance to browse and purchase unique artwork created by talented participants from Our Place and limited edition Our Place merchandise. Plus, visit sponsor booths to check out exclusive offers and learn more about the companies supporting this event.
