Julia Shinsky

Program Leader

Julia grew up in Deerfield and graduated from the University of Iowa in May 2026 with a bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation and a certificate in Resilience and Trauma-Informed Perspectives. She discovered her passion for working with individuals with disabilities through her experiences at inclusive summer camps and by growing up with a mother who is a special education teacher. Julia's next step is preparing to take her national certification exam in Therapeutic Recreation. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her friends, family, and her dog.
